From injection to collisions, the LHC must be safeguarded. WP7 bees protect it from any undesirable events.
Of all of them, the worst failure is what they call “A Quench”: the loss of superconductivity (from Superconductor to Conductor status). These bees work to detect this potential failure and, if it occurs, they protect the equipment from it.
WP7 bees can also be identified because they always look at the machine with special affection!
